Replatforming To Shopify With A Customised Theme
Casepoint is a specialist retailer selling luggage and bags from their High Street shop in Aberdeenshire. They had seen steady growth of the eCommerce side of the business over a number of years, but were unhappy with their website.
We were asked to help Casepoint to move from the Joomla platform to Shopify, due to its ease of use and management tools.

Casepoint gave us a list of requirements and features that they wanted to incorporate into the new site, and it was decided that the best way to achieve them within budget was to customise an existing Shopify theme. We helped Casepoint to identify a suitable theme as a starting point, and then adapted it to match their brand. Additional features were added by integrating Shopify Apps.
The previous site had built up some decent Google rankings, so it was important that these were retained with the new Shopify site. We planned and implemented a programme of 301 redirects to ensure that Google could easily index the new site and know where to find the products already in its index. The launch of the new site went smoothly with no disruption to Casepoint’s rankings as a result of this work.
